Enduro Purse Announced
Airborne Park Speedway Promoter, John Walker has announced an incentivized purse for the 150 lap Enduro on Saturday, September 29.
The payout will be for the top five finishers. Payouts increase based on car count. The base purse is $3,000 for 50-99 cars, the next tier is 100-149 cars for $6,000 and the final tier is 150+ cars fo $10,000.
Last year, 92 cars competed in the end of the season Enduro that featured excitement throughout the race.
Brian Pugh picked up the victory in last season’s 150-Lap Robin Branham Crash For Cancer Enduro, but it wasn’t until lap-140 when he finally found himself in the lead.
Brent Jarvis had the lead at lap-20 over Shawn Fountain, Michael Wright, Lloyd Provost and Eddie Thompson.
A bit of a shake-up occurred on lap-100 with the top five as Fountain, Jarvis, Tyler Atwell, Brian Pugh and Richner.
A number of leaders ran into trouble between laps 100 and 120 with the new lap-120 running order as Richner, Atwell, Doug Westover, Jon Brown and Pugh.
Pugh would take the lead on lap-140 with his steady pace to the race. He lead over Westover, Curtis Gough, Brown and Atwell.
In the closing laps, Pugh, Westover and Gough were all on the same lap and made for a thrilling finish.
