PIENIAZEK WINS FIRST CAREER LUCAS OIL EMPIRE SUPER SPRINT FEATURE

PLATTSBURGH—Josh Pieniazek held off a hard charging Paul Colagiovanni to pick up his first career win in the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint 25-lap A-Main.
Pieniazek inherited the lead from early race leader Shawn Donath, who broke during a caution flag. It was a battle for the final few laps as Pieniazek used the inside lane to charge to a victory.
Colagiovanni would finish in second, Steve Poirer came from deep in the field to finish third, “The Cobra” Chuck Hebing would finish fourth, and Parker Evans came home fifth.

Connor Cleveland used the inside lane in exciting fashion in a battle of champions, to take home his third win of the 2019 season in the Poirer’s True Value Sportsman division.
Salisbury, Vt. driver Mike Palmer had the early race lead in the 30 lap feature event, before both Jamie LaFountain and Nick Heywood would trade the lead through the first half of the event.
Shortly after the halfway point, Heywood was out to a half a straightaway advantage, until the 2017 champion started to make his challenge.
Cleveland used really good drive off the bottom to make the pass stick, and get by Heywood for the lead. The Corinth, NY driver almost had a skirmish with slower traffic, but he avoided it to hold on for the win.
Heywood would settle for second, Justin Severance would have his best run of the year to finish third, Jamie LaFountain would finish fourth, and Chris Frennier would finish fifth.

The AMSQ lightning sprints would be a guest to the speedway for the first and only time of 2019.
Pascal Levesque would use his front row starting position to his advantage, leading wire to wire to pick up the victory.
Finishing second was Mathieu Bardier, Eric Sundborg would back up his win at the Mohawk International Raceway with to finish third, Yanick Poirer would be fourth, and finishing fifth was Pascal Desrocher.

Shawn Duquette takes advantage of a last turn bobble by Jim Mckiernan, to sneak by and win his first feature of the season in the Ernie’s Discount Tool’s Super Stocks.
A late caution for early race leader Michael Wright would bunch up the field. Mckiernan got the early jump, but a rare miss of turn number four, would open the door for the 18 machine for the win.
Mckiernan would keep his strong season going with a second place finish, Josh Terry would come home third, Tylor Terry would finish fourth, and Brent Jarvis fifth.

R.J. Tressider used a very fast inside lane to pass early race leader Rober Laware on lap 11, en route to his second straight win in the Novice Sportsman division.
Dale Gonyo would slide by Laware late to finish second, Laware would hold on to third, Mark Fewster came home fourth, and Justin Stone fifth.

Josh Laporte took the checkered flag in the Chris Frennier Motorsports Strictly Stock feature event, but he failed post race tech. That would hand the win over to Grand Isle's Caleb Tourville.
Nathan Smart would move up to second, early race leader Nathaniel Guay would finish in third, Matt Leonard fourth, and Matt Leonard fifth.
